Browser syncing

Overview

Browser sync lets you keep the same TrackDen library across multiple devices signed into the same browser profile. Add a track or edit a playlist on one device and the change shows up on the other. Under the hood, every change is uploaded to your sync storage, and TrackDen pulls fresh changes down when you open it on another device.

Google Sync

Enabling Google Sync

You need to enable sync in two places — inside TrackDen, and on your Google account.

1. Open TrackDen Settings → Sync.
2. Toggle Sync changes to Google on.
3. Open your Google profile and turn on Sync.
4. Open Manage what you sync.
5. Enable everything, or just turn on Extensions sync.
6. Any changes you make in TrackDen are now synced across devices signed into the same Google account.

Firefox Sync

Enabling Firefox Sync

Same pattern, two places.

1. Open TrackDen Settings → Sync.
2. Toggle Sync changes to Firefox on.
3. In your address bar, open about:preferences#sync.
4. Enable syncing of Add-Ons.
5. Changes will now sync across Firefox browsers signed into the same Firefox account.

Manual sync

If you want to push your whole library to another device in one go, the cleanest path is to back up and restore — sync can take a while for large libraries.

If you do want to force-push everything via sync:

• Open Settings → Sync → click Upload All. A progress banner shows how many items are queued.
• Items download automatically on the other device. To force a pull, open Settings → Sync → click Download.
