Overview
TrackDen adds an import button directly to Beatport playlist pages so you can pull entire playlists into your library in one click. Smart sync detects when a playlist is already imported and shows you exactly how many new tracks need syncing.
Quick start
- Navigate to your Beatport playlist. Go to
beatport.comand open any of your playlists (e.g.beatport.com/library/playlists/123456). - Click the TrackDen import button. The red-and-black button shows one of:
- “Import to TrackDen” — first time importing this playlist
- “Sync Playlist (up to date)” — already imported, nothing new
- “Sync Playlist (X new)” — number of new tracks to sync
- Wait for the import to complete. TrackDen processes tracks in the background. Open TrackDen to watch progress as tracks land.
Smart sync
TrackDen recognises playlists it has imported before, even if you’ve renamed them in TrackDen.
- Automatic detection. The button text reflects the current sync state.
- New-track count. See exactly how many tracks have been added on Beatport since your last sync.
- Incremental. Only new tracks are imported — your existing order and custom metadata are preserved.
- Real-time updates. If the playlist is open in TrackDen, new tracks appear as they’re imported.
How it works
Import process
- TrackDen extracts the playlist name and all track URLs from the Beatport page.
- Creates a new playlist in TrackDen (or finds the existing one for sync).
- Processes each track in the background, fetching full metadata.
- Links tracks to the playlist in Beatport’s original order.
Multi-platform support
Imported playlists keep their source-platform info, which means:
- Reliable sync detection across sessions.
- Multiple playlists with the same name from different platforms work fine.
- Future cross-platform features (more platforms coming) will use the same model.
Tips & best practices
- Large playlists. Imports with 50+ tracks may take a few minutes. You can keep using TrackDen while they run in the background.
- Duplicate prevention. TrackDen detects if tracks are already in your library and links to the existing entry instead of creating duplicates.
- Name changes. Rename playlists in TrackDen after import if you want — the sync uses Beatport’s playlist ID, not the name.
- Regular syncing. Sync your favourites regularly to keep TrackDen aligned with Beatport.
Troubleshooting
Make sure you’re signed into Beatport and on an individual playlist page (not the playlists list page). The URL should look like beatport.com/library/playlists/123456.
Open TrackDen to monitor progress. Large playlists can take several minutes — TrackDen processes tracks in batches of 15 for reliability.
Try syncing the playlist again. If tracks are still missing, they may be unavailable in your region or removed from Beatport.
You need to be signed into Beatport for playlist import to work. Sign in and try again.
