Audio player & queue

The audio player sits at the bottom of TrackDen and plays uninterrupted runs of tracks. Build a queue from anywhere in the library and let it auto-advance.

Overview

The audio player is anchored to the bottom of the TrackDen window and is always visible. It plays previews from Bandcamp or Beatport so you can audition tracks without leaving the library. Tracks you queue up play one after the other without interruption.

Using the player

There are multiple ways to play and queue tracks.

Playing the selected track

When you have a track selected (its details visible on the right), click the audio options next to its mini-player:

  • Play now — starts the selected track in the main player.
  • Play next — adds the selected track to the front of the queue.
  • Add to queue — adds the selected track to the end of the queue.

Playing tracks from a playlist

Select one or more tracks in a playlist, then use the action buttons:

  • Play now — plays the first selected track and pushes the rest to the front of the queue.
  • Play next — pushes the selected tracks to the front of the queue (no playback change).
  • Add to queue — appends the selected tracks to the end of the queue.
  • Play from here — plays the first selected track and queues everything after it.

The queue

You can open the queue from the icons on the right of the player. The queue panel lists every track that will play next.

  • Open the queue — click the queue icon on the player.
  • Shuffle the queue — click the shuffle icon at the top of the queue.
  • Clear the queue — click the clear icon at the top of the queue.

Managing tracks in the queue

  • Play a queued track immediately — click its thumbnail.
  • Play a track next — click the overflow (⋮) on the track row and choose Play next.
  • Start the queue from a track — overflow → Play from here.
  • Remove a track — overflow → Remove from queue.
