General
Does TrackDen store my data using third-party services?
TrackDen stores your data locally on your own device. No data is stored externally by us or by any third party.
Who can view my library?
TrackDen stores all data locally — you and only you can view your TrackDen library. Not even the developers can see it.
Is TrackDen associated with Bandcamp or Beatport?
No. TrackDen is an independent tool aimed at DJs and music collectors, not officially associated with Bandcamp, Beatport, or any other music platform.
Can TrackDen make purchases for me?
TrackDen does not store or record any payment information. It automates the manual tasks you do on the platforms, but purchases must be completed by you on the platform itself. After purchase, you can sync the result back to TrackDen.
Can I manage my music offline?
Yes for organising — you can view your last-synced library and edit playlists offline. Online actions (syncing, adding to cart, purchases) need an internet connection.
Does TrackDen work with Beatport?
Yes. Full support. Add tracks and releases from Beatport, sync your cart and hold-bin, import Beatport playlists, and add to cart directly from TrackDen.
Can I have tracks from multiple platforms in the same library?
Yes. TrackDen detects when the same track exists on both Bandcamp and Beatport. High-confidence matches are merged automatically; less-certain ones are presented for review. See multi-platform tracks.
Getting started
Can I install TrackDen on Safari or Opera?
Currently TrackDen is built for Chrome and Firefox. Safari is on the roadmap. Opera works via the Chrome Web Store on Chromium versions of Opera.
I've installed TrackDen but can't see the icon?
You need to pin the icon to your browser toolbar. Click the puzzle-piece extensions icon, find TrackDen, and click the pin button.
Why are my prices being displayed as $0.00?
Most likely you changed your home currency but did not update your FX rates. Open Settings → Currency & Locale and refresh the exchange rates.
Are the FX rates used for making purchases?
No. Configured rates are for display only and do not affect actual checkout. Each platform handles currency conversion at purchase in its own way.
Song & album actions
The popup is showing a different song to what's on my screen?
An error occurred on that specific page due to platform-specific quirks. Reach out to support and let us know which page so we can fix it.
I've added a song but can't see it in my dashboard?
Reload the dashboard — it should appear.
I updated the track's details but they aren't appearing on Bandcamp?
Manual edits update the track locally in TrackDen and do not push to the source platform. To make changes on Bandcamp or Beatport you have to run the action through TrackDen from the playlist or selected-track panel.
I'm getting "Invalid audio source"?
The track's page has no preview, or the preview URL has expired. Try refreshing the track to update the audio source.
Can I undo a track removal?
No — track removal is final. Use with caution. Consider running an export first if you're about to delete a lot.
Can I purchase a track directly through TrackDen?
No. All purchases happen on the platforms themselves. After you buy, sync the result back into TrackDen to keep a record.
Can I play my downloaded tracks in TrackDen?
No. For security reasons TrackDen does not access local files on your machine. You can keep using the in-app preview audio though.
Playlists
Can I import my own tracks from a file?
Yes — as long as the file follows the CSV format and the track URLs are from a supported platform (Bandcamp or Beatport).
I can't reorder my "All tracks" playlist?
"All tracks", "Cart", "Purchased" and "Wishlist" are auto-generated from your actions, so reordering is disabled. You can sort them by any column, just not drag-reorder.
Dashboard & sync
How do I pull in publicly available collections and wishlists?
Set your platform username in Settings (under the Platforms tab) before you run Sync from source.
Is my library automatically backed up?
Yes — if you enable auto-backup in Settings. Pick a schedule (daily / weekly / monthly) and TrackDen drops backup files into your downloads folder. Google Sync also helps but is not a replacement for backups.
Can I restore a backup on a different device?
Yes. A TrackDen backup file can be restored onto any other TrackDen instance.
Is my library automatically synced?
First enable "Sync changes to Google" in TrackDen settings, then make sure sync is also enabled on your Google account.
My sync storage is full — what do I do?
Google sync storage is limited. Pending tracks upload when space frees up. To free space, open TrackDen on your other device — uploaded items sync down and clear from the sync storage.
