Layout of the UI

The TrackDen dashboard is your library manager. Four regions — a navigation sidebar, the playlist view in the middle, the selected-track panel on the right, and the audio player along the bottom.

The four regions

Every TrackDen view is a composition of these four regions. Their widths adapt to your window but the roles never change.

Key
Region
Purpose
A
Navigation sidebar
Dashboard, smart playlists (All tracks / Cart / Purchased / Wishlist), your custom playlists, Settings and Help. Collapsible.
B
Playlist view
Summary bar with counts and totals, action bar for bulk operations, and the tracks list itself with filter/search.
C
Selected track
Full track details, sources (per platform), playlists this track is linked to, and an activity log. Click any track row to populate it.
D
Audio player
Always visible along the bottom. Queue management, waveform, and basic transport. Plays previews uninterrupted across tracks.

The sidebar lives on the left and is how you move around TrackDen. It is split into a few sections:

Dashboard. The top entry. Opens the dashboard view with cart, wishlist and purchased totals at a glance.

General playlists. Auto-generated lists that mirror your activity — All tracks, Purchased, Cart, Wishlist. You cannot reorder these; their contents come from your actions.

Playlist selection. Every custom playlist you have created, with a search bar at the top to find one fast. Click a playlist to load it into the main view.

Settings & Help. Open your preferences, or the help section if you are stuck.

Playlist view

The middle is where the work happens. Three stacked sections:

Summary bar

Header for the active playlist — name, description, tags, and a strip of totals: tracks count, hours, total value, purchased, in-cart, in-wishlist. Edit or delete the playlist from the icons on the right.

Action bar

A row of icon buttons that run actions against the tracks you have selected — add to cart, remove from cart, wishlist, unwishlist, link to playlist, refresh, archive, export, delete.

Tracks list

The table itself. Filter or search up top, then sortable columns: title, artist, BPM, album, source. Drag the handles on the left to reorder; tick the radio buttons to multi-select for bulk actions.

Selected track

Click any row in the playlist view and this panel populates on the right.

Track details. Title, duration, BPM, release date, tags, and a small audio player to preview. Tap a tag to add it to the current playlist’s search filter.

Sources. Every platform where this track lives — Bandcamp, Beatport, etc. Each row shows the platform, price (converted to your local currency if enabled), and quick actions (refresh, add to cart, wishlist, open on platform).

Playlists. Every custom playlist; click a link icon to add this track to one. Same panel works for un-linking.

Activity. A chronological log of actions taken on this track — added to library, removed from wishlist, added to cart, refreshed, etc.

Audio player

The bar along the bottom of the window. Plays the current track and runs uninterrupted through a queue you build.

Building a queue

From a track’s options menu — or by multi-selecting in a playlist — choose Play now, Play next, Add to queue, or Play from here. The queue panel opens from the player icons on the right.
